Lightris 1.0 Has Officially Launched!


Hello! I don't know who will be reading this, but I'd like to take a moment to commemorate the launch of the 1.0 version of this game! 

It's taken a lot of time, courage, and YouTube tutorials to make this happen, but it's finally here. 

While I am content to leave this project as it is, I have a few plans that I might go through with in the future if I regain some time and motivation. 

My (more than likely) small term plans include:

  • Fixing the HTML bug where two pieces can spawn at once if you hit [down arrow] and [hold button] at the same time. 
  • Adjusting the balance of how quickly the lamp burns out. 

My (unlikely but possible)  long term plans include:

  • Reskinning the entire game with custom art (and giving the bulbs sprites as well, so it looks like a dungeon or something)
  • Adding original music and borrowed SFX. 

However, I think this product is incredibly good  on it's own, having a scoring system, a pause menu, multiple goals to pursue during play, and a pleasing art aesthetic, and I'm very proud of the work I've put into this.
